If you’ve ever thought of riding to the Uni this is the day to give it a go as thousands of new riders will be dusting off their bikes all over Australia. Ride to Work Day is a national event held every year to celebrate the use of a greener and healthier mode of transport – the bike!
We are encouraging new and existing cyclists to jump on their bikes and ride to campus on Wednesday October 13. An early start but be rewarded with a yummy breakfast on campus!
On the day, the University will be hosting a free breakfast for riders at the Callaghan campus and the Ourimbah campus for registered participants.

There are three organised routes to Campus.
Route 1: Customs house to Uni Forum
Two busses on this route.The ‘Normal Bus’ leaving Customs house at 7am, then Islington Park (TAFE end) 7:30am, Waratah station 7:40am, Uni Forum 8am (Driver = Daniel Endicott)
The ‘Express Bus’ leaving Customs house at 7:30am and arriving Uni Forum 8am (Driver = Tom Marshall)
Route 2: Fernleigh Track to Uni Forum
Leaving Newcastle end of Fernleigh Track 7am, then Knights Stadium 7:20am, Jesmond Park near lights crossing 7:40am, Uni Forum 8am (Driver = Gary Ellem )
Route 3: Wallsend to Uni Forum
Leaves Wallsend Gazebo 7:20am, then Jesmond Park near lights crossing 7:40am, Uni Forum 8am (Driver = Gus Potts)
